Résumé :
L’histologie (du grec ancien ἱστός tissu et λόγος discours) est une discipline de la biologie et de la médecine qui étudie les tissus biologiques. Elle est à michemin entre la biologie cellulaire, l’anatomie, la biochimie et la physiologie. Son fondateur, l’anatomiste Xavier Bichat (1771-1802), créa cette notion d’anatomie microscopique. Elle a pour but d’explorer la structure des organismes vivants, les rapports constitutifs et fonctionnels entre leurs éléments fonctionnels, ainsi que le renouvellement des tissus.

Abstract :
Histology (from the ancient Greek ἱστός tissue and λόγος discourse) is a discipline of biology and medicine that studies biological tissue. It is halfway between cell biology, anatomy, biochemistry and physiology. Its founder, the anatomist Xavier Bichat (1771-1802), created this notion of microscopic anatomy. Its aim is to explore the structure of living organisms, the constitutive and functional relationships between their functional elements, as well as the renewal of tissues.
